International Bowl

The International Bowl: South Florida vs. Northern Illinois

South Florida has had their normal streak of ineffectiveness late in the season, losing five of their last seven. Northern Illinois is in a similar position, having lost its last two games against Ohio and Central Michigan. While Northern Illinois has a pretty good offense, they will likely be bowled over by the intensity of a rallying South Florida team. South Florida wins.

Prospects to Watch in this Game

Northern Illinois, Center, Eddie Adamski: A good sized and strong player, this bowl game will be the real determining factor in his draft status. As it stands he is a fringe prospect but a strong performance in this game could elevate him to a solid late round pick.

South Flordia, Defensive End, George Selvie: While a little on the thinner side and not having the kind of year he was expected to have, Selvie is still one of the faster and more explosive defensive ends available in the draft this year. Due to his size he may be forced to move to the outside linebacker spot, but his impact in the NFL will be great after he comes off the board in the late first or early second round.
