The Fiesta Bowl: TCU vs. Boise State
The rematch of last year’s Poinsettia bowl. In that game, TCU’s defense kept them in the game until the offense could muster up enough points to win. This year, the TCU squad is much better offensively and still just as stout on defense. Boise is still an offensive powerhouse and an underrated defensive team. In this de-facto National Chamionship (yes, TCU is better than Texas and Alabama and Boise State has held a better record over the past two seasons than either Texas or Alabama) TCU should be able to squeak this one out. A great game is coming.
Prospects to Watch in this Game
Boise State, Cornerback, Kyle Wilson: A quick corner, Wilson has great instincts and is good in both zone and man coverage. A mid round prospect that will definitely get a good looking at over the course of the offseason.
TCU, Defensive End, Jerry Hughes: Amazingly explosive, this pass rushing specialist who may need to shift to the outside linebacker spot to make it in the NFL. His size is the main thing keeping him on the border of the first round.
